I have taught primary school students at a tuition centre in Siburan for several months in preparation for their UPSR. Furthermore, I have about 4 months of teaching practice at a secondary school in Ipoh, Perak. Then, once I graduated from university in the year 2017, I was a part time lecturer at a community college in Kuching.

Tutoring Approach

I will always plan my lessons beforehand and make sure it suits with my students' level of comprehension. Normally, I may start with nothing much but a short or brief exercise in order to gauge my students' learning capability. Then, I will identify his or her weakness in the subject matter so that I can put focus to overcome their weaknesses. This can be done with proper guidance and patience.

I don't have any tutoring experiences yet but I have experiences in coaching for martial arts and other sports, although I don't have any proper qualification for that. My level are mostly on the assistant coach. Here, I'll be concentrating on tutoring in English language. Especially those who need it for communication purposes, presentation or every day life. It doesn't necessarily need to be for education.

How I teach? Well I have to know the person's I'm going to tutor, from their strengths to their weakness. I do give homework. It doesn't necessarily be a writing homework, it'll depends on the person I'm tutoring and our sessions together.

I believe in an interactive approach to learning. Lastly, I provide regular feedback to students on their progress and adjust the learning plan as needed.
