Hi, I am Eric, a fresh graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering. Additional Mathematics and Modern Mathematics are my favorite subjects since high school (they still are up until today!). I always enjoyed learning mathematics as well as helping my friends who have problems in mathematics. Even though I am still a fresher in tutoring, but I believe I will do a good job in tutoring both Additional Mathematics and Modern Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

Mathematics is a subject that requires more practices than reading. Therefore, instead of spending hours in talking or explaining the syllabus and examples, I will let my student to immediately work on some questions after I have briefly explained the overview of a chapter (up to 30 minutes). While student is working on the questions, I will help them with their doubts (1 hour to 1.5 hour). Then, I will explain the concept more in details and correct the student's mistakes after the work out session until they have fully understand the syllabus (1 hour - 1.5 hours). Before the whole session end, I will wrap it up with homework allocation.

I had tutoring experiences for two years. I had five students and taught in a tuition centre for two months. I specialise in teaching Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and Physics. I had helped students from failing the subject to getting a pass in the subject.

I would understand the students' ability to understand certain topics and tackle from there. I would use simple concepts and examples which would help them to relate those topics to themselves to remember those easily. I would give practices and exercises to allow students to be familiarize with the exam style questions and identify their common mistakes.
