The first approach would be introducing the topics and making sure the student understands the syllabus. I will go chapter by chapter and provide sufficient exercises for the student the refresh what he/she had learnt. This step is to ensure the student can full understand each individual topic. After the student mastered all the necessary and required topics, I will go straight with past year question practices, this will ensure that the student will be familiarized with the exam format. Besides that, past year questions will be the best platform for a student to practice and refresh every single topic. Constant practice of past year questions will allow the student to excel when he/she performs in the actual exam. I believed the most unique part of my tutoring is that besides giving academic support, I am well known in giving mental support (which I believed a lot of tutors lack this attribute). Motivation is the key to success, so I will try to implement a lot of motivational talks and try to discuss with the student about his/her desired goals. Because a student will be able to perform much better and work much harder after setting a targeted goal. This is a huge key of success, and something that makes my lessons one of a kind.
