I prefer to spend minimum 2 hours per subject as this will give more time for students to be able to go through with me on what they have done in school for the week, review and practice by doing extra activities and do online test for assessment at the end of the lesson. Before I teach, I need to understand the level of the student. Therefore some pre-assessment either in the form of verbal, quizzes or essay regarding a topic will be carried out before assessing the student. The selection of books used will also be discussed and agreed upon both parties (teacher and student/student's parents). When I teach, not only do I focus on the student's academic result but I also emphasize on their character development because that is what it takes for them to go far in the future. Parents or guardians will be updated on the students progress on a weekly/monthly basis, depending on their request.
