I always prepare the learning materials a week before and I will look through again a night before the tuition starts so that my knowledge can be delivered to the students effectively. Self-made exercises and notes will help the students to understand and apply the knowledge that they have learnt in class. A mini test will also be given by the end of every month in order to know how much they have learnt from class as well as to know their strength and weakness.

Throughout my Degree in TESL, I've done about 6 months of practical in local schools (SK Convent Bukit Nanas 2, SK Puteri Pandan 2, SK Seri Bintang Selatan) I have also gone to various schools to carry out Story-telling workshops and English Language Workshops. I have also tutored, on a voluntary basis, for a centre in Kuching for about 2 years.

I'd say it depends on the student. I will try to be as flexible as possible to cater to his/ her needs. If he/ she prefers a more interactive approach to learning, then by all means I will try to cater to that.
