  My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves.

I have been teaching pupils since I was in 11th standard. I love to find out the difficulties of students and correct them so that they are self dependent on their long run. I believe teaching is a art like painting where a student's mind is the canvass and my teaching is the brush. I feel it is my duty to paint the correct picture in student's mind. I have successfully taught several students to attain high marks when earlier they were not successful. I was involved in the training department of my previous company where I used to train professionals to perform better. Presently I am a freelance English writer and I write for The Star newspaper and AirAsia Travel360 magazine, so I can help students enhance their creative writing skills in English.

Tutoring Approach

I always try to divide lessons in small parts and upon completion I try to interact with my students on their understanding. I often ask quick and basic questions on what I taught. The answers help me to understand the level of understanding of the students. It is obvious that some students learn fast than others. But a teacher should understand first the reason behind a student's slow understanding. If the student is unmindful then the teacher needs to teach him/her first how to concentrate. If the student is forgetful, then teacher's duty is to suggest him/her techniques to remember. Every lock has got different keys. It is a teacher's responsibility to find the correct key and unlock the student's mind.

I have been to good schools and one to one tuitions which was the reason that I am strong in the mention subjects. I picked up good teaching methods from my teachers and worked well with 4 students aged 10 to 12 years old for a year. I believe in self learning with a little bit of guidance and discipline.

I believe in self teaching and giving opportunities to students to express themselves. When it's time to joke, we can have lots of fun but when it comes to serious matters, I will be quite focused. I believe in discussions, no questions are stupid to ask and it's the best way to learn. For them to express themselves, they will learn faster in a fun environment and also getting self confidence. I will like to go through each chapter and pick up lots of questions for practices, lots of explanations through illustrations and examples.
