I always try to divide lessons in small parts and upon completion I try to interact with my students on their understanding. I often ask quick and basic questions on what I taught. The answers help me to understand the level of understanding of the students. It is obvious that some students learn fast than others. But a teacher should understand first the reason behind a student's slow understanding. If the student is unmindful then the teacher needs to teach him/her first how to concentrate. If the student is forgetful, then teacher's duty is to suggest him/her techniques to remember. Every lock has got different keys. It is a teacher's responsibility to find the correct key and unlock the student's mind.

I have had 5 years of teaching experience in government primary school, government secondary school and private learning centre and I've taught students from as young as preschool level to adults. Before I teach, I need to understand the level of the student. Therefore some pre-assessment either in the form of verbal, quizzes or essay regarding a topic will be carried out before assessing the student. The selection of books used will also be discussed and agreed upon both parties (teacher and student/student's parents). When I teach, not only do I focus on the student's academic result but I also emphasize on their character development because that is what it takes for them to go far in the future. Parents or guardians will be updated on the students progress on a weekly/monthly basis, depending on their request. I also believe that students will learn better in a small group through interaction with their peers therefore a group of 3 to 4 is most ideal for students to learn and grow.
