I realised from my previous tutoring experiences that I am a tutor who rather emphasizes on understanding a particular concept than memorising it. Biology, contrary to popular belief among Malaysian, I believe is a subject which needs to be understood instead of memorised. It is my pleasure to aid students in grasping the main principles of the subjects I teach.

Messages will be conveyed through mind maps and diagrams during Biology lessons. Each chapter will always start with an overview so that students might grasp the 'floorplan' of that chapter. When I go into the details, students will be guided to relate different parts of mind maps/diagram given during the class. Analogies on the other hand will be used to aid in understanding Mathematic. Once the students understand the concept, they will be guided to solve various Mathematical problems. For Mathematics, I believe in the saying 'Practice Makes Perfect'. All in all, my lessons are not only fun- and understanding-oriented. I like to trigger the student's mind to think critically so that they could answer questions asked in different ways during exams.

My own style of teaching is begin with to make the students to trust me as a friend. Then only they are confidence enough to ask me anything, and they will feel comfortable and going for tuition is fun. Apart from that, I will use my own formula which comprises science term that easy to remember and simple to understand. I used this method on my last tutoring experience and it worked well. My technique would be present, discussion, and assignment basis. I call it as "PDA". Presentation is not one way teaching but I will put the students into group so they will need to present to each other on the sub subject. Then I will get them to discuss with me on things that they presented. This is the time for me to observe their understanding level. Lastly, it would be wrapped with assignment, not a workload but just enough for the students to summerise the lesson.
