I am a fresher tutors.Before this, I was a foundation students at UiTM.Now, I further my studies at UNIMAS in Counselling. I can be tutor based on how your learning style. For mathematics and science subject, I prefer to do more exercise together on it. We also can together use mind mapping method to see clearly about science subject.Most important for me is, I love kid very much. Learning to understand is fun. Learning is not for your exam but for your knowledge.

Build a good relationship with the learners can improve my confidence in teaching. I will give exercise and do it together. Then make a discussion to make sure they understand what they have studied. For next class, we will discuss about what they have learnt at school and what they do not understand and want to give more focuses on.

Tutoring Approach

Learning Science can be challenging for students as teachers use technical-terms (Scientific language) in class especially Chemistry. For my style of teaching, I will use simple words to teach the student. This way, they would be able to understand the Science concept easier instead of memorizing. Once they are able to understand the concept, it would be easy for the students to answer in their exams

I have been a tutor part time for 3 years and 2 years full time. As I have pursue my degree in cognitive science, therefore, I have prior knowledge in teaching technique. This is important because, every student, they have different approach. The right technique will bring them success and vice versa.

During first session, usually I will warm up with some chat to know the student preference of study. I usually will prepare syllabus and put up a few goal to be achieved by the student. My standard style of teaching would be more on exercise and problem solving technique. For student that have intelligent deficit, I have learn a few technique during my study to attract their attention in learning. I hope this would give parents out there hopes that their child still can achieve success in school with the right techniques of study.
