My style of teaching is a bit of both American and UK. I like to get the students to interact because I feel if the students are not interested then the lessons taught will not be learnt easily. I like students to express themselves freely and take reserved students as a fun challenge for them to do more. I have close to 6 years of teaching experience in International schools and academies combined.

My first approach would always be to know what kind of a student I would be having. Based on the character of the student then will find the right teaching method/approach that matches. My lessons are usually activities that would get the students to engage themselves into the lessons taught.

I have been teaching SPM students since 2010 for UPSR, PT3, SPM subjects usually Physics, Add Maths, Chemistry and Maths and lower form students as well for Science and Maths.

One to one tutoring and explain slowly yet detail according to students performance. Giving handouts and extra notes with execersice books and past years questions as well. My time of class depends on the students availability. I'm very friendly and make friend with the students.

I have done my teaching practicum at SMK Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar. During practicum time, I got the weakest class for Form 1 and Form 4 which is second class. During practicum, I taught them English, throughout these 3 months I able to see the students can speak in English very well and able to write a short essay in English very well. Besides, I as a teacher can see the differences especially at the beginning of the month and also at the end of the month during my teaching practicum. Besides, I also working in Sayfol International school.

I have my own instructive skills of teaching and the ability to explain and demonstrate clearly so that concepts that are not easy to understand are simplified using memorable examples or props.

However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. I have a Degree in Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management, and my strong subjects are Science and Maths. I have been to good schools and one to one tuitions which was the reason that I am strong in the mention subjects. I picked up good teaching methods from my teachers and worked well with 4 students aged 10 to 12 years old for a year. I believe in self learning with a little bit of guidance and discipline.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in self teaching and giving opportunities to students to express themselves. When it's time to joke, we can have lots of fun but when it comes to serious matters, I will be quite focused. I believe in discussions, no questions are stupid to ask and it's the best way to learn. For them to express themselves, they will learn faster in a fun environment and also getting self confidence. I will like to go through each chapter and pick up lots of questions for practices, lots of explanations through illustrations and examples.
