I used to teach mathematics for secondary level. Aced an A for every English subject since primary until university level. I am very passionate at teaching English and also very casual as long as the student does not lose focus.

Tutoring Approach

My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. I would start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I also use questions and examples to check understanding continually. I prefer to focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student’s understanding and technique. However, studying for the sake of attaining an A in examinations is saddening; It is the knowledge gained that matters.

Presently I am a Primary homeroom teacher in an international school. Teaching is my passion. Though I have always worked for international schools, I have also been tutoring national school students for the past 9 years. Therefore I can confidently say that I am very familiar with both our gov syllabus and international (Cambridge/IGCSE) as well.
