My technique would be present, discussion, and assignment basis. I call it as "PDA". Presentation is not one way teaching but I will put the students into group so they will need to present to each other on the sub subject. Then I will get them to discuss with me on things that they presented. This is the time for me to observe their understanding level. Lastly, it would be wrapped with assignment, not a workload but just enough for the students to summerise the lesson.
