Among my experiences as a tutor include paid tutoring sessions for my classmates, part-time tutoring at Kumon Malaysia, as well as volunteering in the Tutors in Action program at Sunway University Volunteer Club, where we teach underprivileged SPM students.

Teaching approach may vary from one student to another. One thing I can assure you is that it will be fun, and we will, at the same time, discover your preferred way of learning! Learning should be fun. Typically, I would suggest our class duration to be 1 hour for younger kids, and we can go for 2 hours for secondary students. I started my teaching journey at KUMON when I was 16 years old, tutoring students from primary to secondary school in Mathematics. By the time I was 21 and pursuing my ACCA, I was also tutoring students preparing for their SPM in the subject of Prinsip Perakaunan.

Additionally, I tutored two students aged 12 and 17 in Mathematics.

One of my most impactful achievements was helping a Prinsip Perakaunan student who had never passed his Accounting papers since Form 4. He ended up achieving an A grade in his SPM.

Tutoring Approach

First of all, I will have to discover the students' weaknesses by testing them on their school syllabus topics. After discovering their weaknesses, I will then personally craft a study plan to suit their needs, based on the timeline leading up to their final exams, such as SPM, PMR, or UPSR.

I will then brief the students on the study plan before we start the class. Throughout the tutoring process, there will be two-way communication, allowing me to monitor their performances.

I will also provide exam techniques, tips, and tricks to help students manage their time effectively during the final exam. This includes highlighting key points to pay attention to according to the exam requirements, as well as strategies to avoid silly mistakes and improve exam scores.
