Chris: Nurturing Minds through Tutoring

I have been tutoring mandarin to international school students and secondary school mathematics for 4 years. Before becoming a tutor, I had also taught chemistry at Fairview International School. Nevertheless, my best language subject is English.

The purpose in learning a language is to be able to effectively communicate with people and to convey one's ideas correctly. Therefore in order to communicate well without causing misunderstanding, the choice of words and correct grammar as well as clear pronunciation are important. Thus, I teach students how to expand their pool of vocabulary and how to making sentences through reading and speaking. I also train them on their pronunciation skill.

Regarding Mathematics, my lesson is for those who want to build up a good foundation and understanding in maths. I will use simple explanatiions and basic examples to teach the principles and then teach them how to apply the principles learned in more complex questions.
