Roshida Sahbudin: Nurturing Minds through Tutoring

I have been a tutor for English for almost 12 years and have experience teaching in college, university, and school settings. My target group is students in secondary and university levels. My teaching goal is to educate students to become more proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. My teaching approach focuses on using the second language both within and outside the classroom. It is created with carefully thought-out lessons and exercises and delivered in accordance with specified syllabuses. The purpose of my lesson plan is to help students comprehend the test format and provide well-reasoned answers.

My teaching approach provides a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. I will undergo a pre-assessment to evaluate students' skills in grammar, speaking, reading, and writing. The pre-assessment test serves as a measure for me to determine the proper teaching tactics and strategies based on the students' English proficiency levels. The aim is to provide my students with individualized education that inspires them to achieve their maximum potential in the subject. Learning by doing is the cornerstone of my approach to teaching English as a second language. For language acquisition to take place, students need to be exposed to the target language as much as feasible. As such, I match my instruction to the student's learning style, which I strongly believe they'll be able to follow my lessons effectively.
