Mentor - Mathematics
- As a participant in my university's mentor-mentee program, I had the opportunity to take on a significant role as a mentor to a group of 20 students. This role allowed me to not only share my deep understanding of mathematics but also to inspire and guide these students in their academic journey.
- I led sessions on subjects such as Ordinary Differential Equations, Calculus 2, and Calculus 1. These subjects are often seen as challenging, and it was my responsibility to break down complex concepts into manageable and understandable parts. I used various teaching methods and approaches to ensure that every student had the opportunity to grasp the material fully.
- One of the most rewarding aspects of this experience was witnessing the progress and growth of my mentees. By tailoring my teaching style to individual needs and providing additional support where required, I was able to facilitate a deeper comprehension of these mathematical topics. As a result, not only did the students improve their performance in these subjects, but they also developed a genuine interest in mathematics.
- Through my mentorship, I aimed to instil not only mathematical knowledge but also the importance of critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that extend beyond the classroom. This holistic approach to teaching mathematics ensured that my students were well-prepared for future challenges in their academic and professional endeavours.
- The results of this mentor-mentee program were highly encouraging. Many of the students I mentored showed substantial improvement in their mathematical understanding, and the feedback from both students and program coordinators was overwhelmingly positive. This experience reaffirmed my commitment to mentoring and my dedication to making a significant impact in the field of mathematics education.

- Tutored SPM & PMR students in Additional Mathematics and Modern Mathematics. Utilized effective communication skills to ensure students understood complex concepts. Developed tailored teaching plans to address individual students' learning needs.
- Monitored students' progress and provided feedback to enhance their performance. Witnessed significant improvements in students' understanding and academic results.
- Received positive feedback from students and parents for being an engaging and supportive tutor.
Currently I am an additional mathematics and mathematics teacher in an international school.

I prepare my lessons by setting my own topical questions or using a good activity book with exam-based questions. Lots of practice needs to be done for Mathematics as it is not an easy subject.
