First lesson would start with a conversation in English in order to help me gauge a student's capability of using the language. Once the language baseline is determined, I will make a personalized plan to help build on your strengths and improve your deficiencies in the language. This may include grammar lessons, pronunciation classes, "how to speak in different contexts/scenarios", stress and intonation, speaking practices, listening training, et cetera. Students are encouraged to speak more in class to help familiarize themselves with how the syllables sound and thinking in English.

There are many different ways of teaching, but mine is pretty much versatile based on individual students' progress. We might start off with something easy and fun and gradually move to a more academic approach. Some students are good with diagrams, some are good with mapping, tables, or pictures. Some find it easier with short notes or point forms. Sometimes we use acronyms too. All in all, what works for my students works for me.

I am most comfortable teaching through the Direct Method, where I only speak in English. I have discovered that this method effectively immerses students in learning the language and helps them become comfortable speaking as well. I prefer using a range of materials to deliver my lessons, such as Powerpoints, worksheets, or game quizzes, as I find it easier to capture the students' attention.

I am happy to work on any aspect you feel needs improvement, whether it be grammar, speaking, or comprehension.
